Optimization of manhole liner produced in 3D printing method
Manholes can be rehabilitated, similar to pipes. The boundary conditions differ from the pipe rehabilitation. 3D printing method is especially well suited for demanding geometries that manholes may posess. The required wall thickness should be determined through an appropriate calculation, such as numerical FE analysis.

IngSoft considered several manhole depths and graduated groundwater levels. Special consideration is taken into the transition between the squared manhole sheet and the circular top. The resulting wall thicknesses significantly differed from the ones manufacturer had assumed.
